Hit Refresh

GT Bikes Brand Identity

Project Overview

The team at GT approached Cinco Design to help define the next evolution of what the brand could be. They wanted to bring fresh energy to the brand, connect to new and younger riders, while still respecting their deep roots within BMX and MTB culture.

As a result we delivered an entire brand refresh from the top down. Starting with the iconic GT logo. The new mark is a symbol for progression, movement, and for doing things their own way since day one. Drawing on elements from their radical legacy, we delivered an even bolder future with a modern, youthful character that will stand out in the lifestyle and bike categories.

Over the years GT had accumulated a roster of different marks with no consistent usage.

The majority of MTB brands have italicized logos, creating a visual language in the category. We wanted to stand out from the crowd.
